The Investiture Ceremony which marks a significant beginning of the new academic session was held on Wednesday, July 24, 2019 in the school. The council members were democratically selected on the basis of interview, revelation of the contender followed by casting the vote of the children across grades by means of secret ballot. It was a solemn occasion where the newly elected Council Members were all prepared to don the mantle of leadership and discharge the responsibilities entrusted upon them by the school. The principal (Mrs Poonam Verma) administered the oath to the council members with a promise that they would discharge their duties with integrity, faith and excellence. The ceremony concluded with the National Anthem.
Green Colour Day Celebration
To educate children about the value of our natural resources and introduce them to the green colour, Green Colour Day was celebrated on Monday, 22 July’19 in school with great enthusiasm.
Inter Class Competition “I’m a Scientist”
It was really a fantastic learning experience for all the students present during the Inter Class Group Competition on the topic- “I am a Scientist” when the students of classes VIII & IX appeared in the dress-up of great scientists of the world. The competition was organized by science department of the school on Thursday, 25 July 2019 in order to give a tribute to the renowned scientists and their discoveries which totally changed and made our daily lives a lot easier.
During the competition students showed their great imaginations, creativity and team work.
Science Quiz
You cannot teach a man anything; you can only help him discover it in himself.
Keeping this thing in mind DWPS, Pilkhuwa is celebrating July month as the month of science. During the celebration of science month the school conducted intraclass science quiz competition for classes III- VII on Saturday , 20 July 2019 in order to develop the spirit of participation, to explore the knowledge, to develop the sense of searching and inquiry, to Know about the development of science in the different fields. The quiz comprised of 2 rounds, a written preliminary round and an on-stage final round. The prelims consisted of 20 questions. On the basis of elements the four teams were made named Agni, Jal Vayu, and Dhara. The questions put forth to the teams were intriguing, and created an air of confidence among the students while they answered them. The questions were based on science in everyday life. Undoubtedly, the quiz was very informative and the students displayed their enthusiasm to the fullest.
Inter Class Handwriting Competition by Camlin Colours India
Good penmanship is more than just a quaint skill. Even in the age of technology, handwriting remains the primary tool of communication and knowledge assessment for the students in the school. Keeping the necessity of good handwriting, DWPS Pilkhuwa in collaboration with Camlin Colours India conducted a Handwriting Competition in the school on Friday, 19 July 2019 for the students of classes IV to VI to promote and encourage the students to work hard on penmanship and understood the importance of error free transcription. All the students participated full heartedly and with zeal and tried to present the script in beautiful handwriting. The winners were selected on the criteria of error free transcription, strokes followed and neatness.
Inter school Competition at SBVM, Hapur
Painting as a form of artistic expression provides a platform to everyone to explore, reflect and convey. It was a proud moment for the school, when the student of class VIII Madhav Singh and Akshay Singh Bechehhat from class VII received applauds and appreciation for their aesthetic work, innovative impression in the Inter School Poster Presentation Competition held in SBVM, Hapur on July 12,2019. They bagged the first position in their category and honoured with the cash prize of Rs. 1100. The rich amalgamation exquisite colours from the palette showcased their creative artistic bent of mind.

On the occasion of yellow colour day students of kindergarten enjoyed the taste of “The King of Fruits , Mango” by having a Mango Mania activity. They recognized the taste, colour and things made by mango through this activity. They enjoyed the day by sharing the mangoes with their friends and teachers.
MOTHER’S DAY
There is no love in this world greater than that of a mother for her child. Celebrating this precious and unconditional love of a mother, Children from different grades participated in various activities organised for them. As a token of love and gratitude for their mothers, they made special handmade holder’s, cards etc for them. It was a memorable moment indeed to see children valuing the greatest bond of love on earth-a mother’s love!
WALL MAGAZINE
Wall magazine is an important means to enable the students to express their inner feelings.
On April 27,2019, Saturday DWPS Pilkhuwa organized an interhouse wall magazine competition on the topic, “Globalization – Its impact on culture.” The students of four different houses showed their tremendous talent and put up their thoughts in the most creative and innovative formats.

Earth Day is celebrated to promote awareness related to Earth’ environment. Earth Day is quite significant as it inspires us to achieve the goals of clean, green and pure earth. Therefore, to give regards to our Mother Earth, various activities were conducted in the school.
BAISAKHI CELEBRATION
DWPS Pilkhuwa celebrated the festival of ‘Baisakhi’ with full fervor and gaiety. A special assembly was conducted to mark the importance of this festival. Students dressed up in colourful attires presented dance, group song and recited poem. Students orated the history and importance of Baisakhi. Principal Mrs. Poonam Verma emphasized the significance and relevance of the festival and asked the students to celebrate all festivals with great enthusiasm, energy and respect to promote harmony and brotherhood throughout the world.

Delhi World Public School, Pilkhuwa celebrated its third Graduation Day on Monday, 25-03-19 to applaud the young enthusiastic learners of class Kindergarten and Class V for their commendable performance in the session 2018-19.It marks a new beginning that adds new dimensions to their school life and the journey they begin towards knowledge and education.
To celebrate progression and development, KG wing and Class 5 of DWPSP celebrated Graduation Day with a lot of stage activities portraying yearlong learning. The students left everybody spell bound as they danced on tunes of some vibrant music instrumentals displaying breath taking colours with highly coordinated movements that promptly set the tone and mood of the atmosphere to an all-time high. Their energetic booming and clapping coaxed the enthusiastic parents to sway to its lively beats.
Then came the most important part of the celebrations i.e. KG and class 5 students walking on the stage for their convocation. Their smiling faces were welcomed by rapturous applause from the audience as they received scrolls of merit on the stage. It was indeed a joyous and memorable day for the students as they received their Graduation certificates from our inspirational Principal mam.
SPARDHA 2018-19
Delhi World Public School, Pilkhuwa celebrated its First Annual Sports Meet – Spardha 2018-19 on Sunday, 3rd Feb 2019 amidst great verve and camaraderie.
The event was graced by the benign presence of the honorable chief guest Mr. Ram Mohan Singh (ASP, Hapur), Mr. Satendra Kumar (Arjun Awardee-1998), Guest of Hounor Ms. Anushika Satendra (International Shooting Player) and Chairman of school, Mr. Vipin Chaudhary.
The weather was so favourable with clouds providing shade accompanied by a nice breeze. The day started with Vaishanavi, the School Vice Head Girl welcoming the parents and chief guest. It was followed by a crisp and belligerent march past. Each house tried to overshadow the other house with coordinated and precise moves. It was a spectacle to watch. The oath taking ceremony was led by sports captain, Harshika Teotia. All the participants swore to perform their best, fairly and in the true spirit of sportsmanship. The release of birds by the honorable chief guest Mr. Ram Mohan Singh (ASP, Hapur), Chairman of the school Mr. Vipin Chaudhary and Principal Mrs. Poonam Verma and declaration of sports meet open commenced the event. The day was filled with a multitude of events arranged one after the other. The events included a PT Drill by Students of Pre Primary, a mass drill with hoola hoops by students of Std 1 & 2, a fan drill by the students of Std 3-5, dance presentation by students of classes 6 to 9. On the occasion meritorious students were also felicitated with awards in different categories .Various track and field events – viz 100 m, 200 m 4×100 m Relay, shot put, discus throw, long jump , high jump etc. started among excitement and cheering by the House representatives for their houses. Athletic events like Running Race, Relays added to the excitement and thrill not only among the students but also among the onlookers.
The day concluded with the prize distribution ceremony, where the Chief Guest, Guest of Honour and the principal gave away medals and trophies to the sports event winners.
KONVERGENCE
KONVERGENCE- The Annual Exhibition 2018-19, enthusiastically organized by Delhi World Public School, Pilkhuwa on 29 December, 2018 focused on ingraining a scientific, artistic and creative attitude in our young students to make them comprehend the interdependence of science, technology, arts and society by a hands-on experience. The exhibition seeks to engage children and teachers to synergize experiences and motivate each other to design and develop something novel. With an endeavor to promote scientific and creative attitude among budding young students, this exhibition was one of its kind. Numerous displays dotted several sections of School with participation ranging from classes I to IX. The event was comprised of Science Models, Art and Craft Displays, Robotics Models, Orchestra Group, Nukkad Natak, Magic Show, Food Junctions and Games Stalls by school students. Each corner became a celebration of knowledge and innovation as little scientists and creative artists furiously beckoned visitors to stop by and visit their discoveries.The programme was inaugurated by Shri Rajpal Singh Ji, Ex- MLA, Modinagar. He was very impressed by the presentations and congratulated the participants. Many parents also came to appreciate the works put up by the students. The Principal, Mrs. Poonam Verma appreciated each and every student for their hard work on the models and presentations put up by them and congratulated all the teachers who proved to be great asset and mentors for the students with the help of which they were successful in putting up a great show. She said that these kind of exhibitions and skill development programmes make students learn the values of research work, organizational skills & team work when putting up such an event on a grand scale.
CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION- 2018

On 24 December 2018, Delhi World Public School, Pilkhuwa celebrated Christmas with great fervor and enthusiasm. A special assembly was organised in which the school choir sang Christmas Carols, presented dance performances and spoke in detail about Christmas. Santa Claus spread his magical vibes as he carried his bag of goodies and walked through the crowd distributing sweets and often saying loud his magic words Ho-Ho-Ho. Children loved Santa Clause and were delighted to hover around him.
DIWALI CELEBRATION- 2018

The celebration of Diwali ,’The festival of lights’ came alive at Delhi World Public School, Pilkhuwa on the 5th of November 2018 when the whole school wore a festive look with Diyas and rangolis adorning the corridors and the assembly hall in bright colours. The rangoli done by students the previous day added the perfect setting to the festivity. A lot of activities were conducted on this auspicious occasion which included Diya Decoratio, Rangoli Making and Card Making activities. A special assembly was held in the school auditorium in which students performed magnificently on the stage and gave the message to celebrate a safe and environment friendly Diwali. The Principal, Mrs. Poonam Verma blessed all the students and wished everyone a clean, peaceful and a bright Diwali. She also administered an oath in which all the students pledged to celebrate this Diwali in an eco-friendly way. Students talked about the significance of the festival – how good always conquered the evil and also about why and how Diwali is celebrated across India. Besides sensitizing students to the ill-effects of crackers, they also shared the guidelines on being safe while bursting them. The students showcased the spirit of Diwali through a mesmerising dance performance on the song “Happy Diwali”.
VIGILANCE AWARENESS WEEK- 2018

The widespread corruption has an adverse effect on the development of a nation. In order to create awareness about corruption at different levels, Vigilance Awareness Week was observed from 29th October to 3rd November, 2018 at DWPSP organised by the Govt. of India and CBSE. The week started with special morning assembly for the students in which Principal Mrs Poonam Verma administered the integrity pledge to eliminate corruption from society. A plethora of activities were conducted in this regard which included Poster Making Competition for classes III to V, Speech and Essay Writing Competitions on the topic “Eradicate Corruption-Build a New India” for the students of Classes VI – IX and Bhashan Pratiyogita for classes VIII and IX. Students were very keen in presenting their ideas through words. The motive of the competitions was to sensitize students on the ill effects of corruption and to create awareness to curb it. Students showed great enthusiasm in different activities also related to the theme. They learnt how preventive vigilance can help in reducing corruption and enhance accountability at various levels. The winners from different competition categories were also praised by the honourable Principal.
VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT – 2018
DAY 1
Talent Search Volleyball Tournament- 2018, Season- District Hapur organized by the School Sports Promotion Foundation was held on 30th and 31st October 2018 at Delhi World Public School, Pilkhuwa with great zeal, excitement and frolicsome atmosphere. On day- 1, the programme began with the welcome of the Chief Guest Mr. Ram Mohan Singh, ASP Hapur and Guest of Honor Mr. Girjesh Singh, Member of Railway Board by honorable Chairman Mr. Vipin Kumar and Principal Mrs. Poonam Verma. The Chief Guest after taking the salute of the impressive March Past of the players cut the ribbon on the court and the championship was started after the toss between first two teams.
Total 6 teams competed on Day- 1 of the championship. The players entered into the spirit of the occasion in a grand way with the oath being administered by the Sports Teacher Mr. Sanjay Kumar. The championship heated up the atmosphere from the very first match and set the tone for the rest of the event.
DAY 2
On the second day of Talent Search Volleyball Tournament, on 31st October 2018 the tournament concluded with an outstanding display of competitiveness between the finalists on the volleyball court. The event was brightened up by the presence of the distinguished Chief Guest, Rajiv Gandhi Environment Preserver Prize winner and Social Worker working on Swachh Ganga Mission, Mr. Rajendra Singh Aulakh, tossed the coin for the semi-final and final match and graced the winners of the contest with awards and medals. He in his motivational speech cheered up all the players and praised them for their hard work and dedication shown on the volleyball court. He especially mentioned the efforts of our honourable Principal and the whole working committee operating the tournament for providing excellent gaming conditions and facilities to the players which made the championship a very successful and unforgettable one. Principal Mrs. Poonam Verma welcomed the Chief Guest and thanked everyone who worked with full zeal for setting a benchmark by successful accomplishment of tournament.
FAMILY FESTIVE FAIR
ENGLISH RHYME RECITATION COMPETITION
“Poem Recitation is a mode of expression, a medium to reflect the latent talents of the young ones.”
Rhymes can prove to be an instrumental stepping stone for young children to develop their verbal skills and boost their confidence.
Keeping this in mind, English Rhyme Recitation Competition for Classes Pre-Nursery to PREP was organized on Friday, 28/09/2018 in which the children got an opportunity to exhibit their talent and confidence. The children chose a variety of topics for their recitation like nature, trees, flower, mother, teacher, unity in diversity etc. with a lot of zeal and enthusiasm. Their innocent words and actions blended with melody were spread with all smiles and giggles. Their confidence and curiosity to stand in front of audience and reciting the rhymes loudly marked their presence in the school auditorium. All the invited parents appreciated and applauded the performance of the participants and the children enjoyed the competition.
Our honorable Principal Mrs. Poonam Verma congratulated all the participants and the winners were presented the winner trophies.
CRICKET MATCH
The importance of sports encompasses more than just the benefit of physical activity. It helps in enhancing self esteem and mental alertness among students. Also, it teaches punctuality, discipline and teamwork.
Keeping the above thought alive, the school organised a cricket match for the students of Class I and II on Thursday, 20/09/2018 in the school playground.Our Principal, Mrs. Poonam Verma shook hands with the players and tossed the coin and the batting and bowling team from each class was selected. She also tried some hands on the cricket pitch by putting the bat on the bowling of these young kids and the matches were then started.
These matches provided good physical exercise for the children and also helped them to showcase their talent. While the winners were cheered, the efforts of the runners up were equally appreciated. Our sports teacher Mr. Sanjay Kumar officiated the matches with the support of respective class teachers.
RUN FOR UNITY!!
The students of Delhi World Public School, Pilkhuwa joined a enormous gathering of students from all over the Hapur region schools who were running for the cause of spreading the message of One Nation, United Nation through a Run For Unity race organised by Krida Bharti, Hapur on Tuesday, 11/09/2018. Our Sports Teacher Mr. Sanjay Kumar escorted all the students to the event and leaded them all the way during the run. It was a fantastic efforts by all our young runners making them a realize the need to unite the country by the means of sports and games. The school was presented a memento by the organizers to put in the valuable contribution in the event.

Teachers Day was celebrated with great pomp and gaiety at Delhi World Public School, Pilkhuwa on September 5.
Students of different classes put up a spectacular show for the occasion. The program consisted of foot tapping songs, groovy dances and fun – filled interactions with teachers. The students took great effort and ensured that teachers enjoy every minute. The cherry on the cake was a dazzling dance by students on a “ Medley of songs” from old to new movies, to show their love and gratitude towards the teachers.
The event ended with words of wisdom by the school principal, Mrs. Poonam Verma. She praised the students for their endless efforts and making the day memorable for all.

INTER HOUSE WORD POWER COMPETITION – 2018
Learning how to spell the words is important for a child. Spelling the words helps lay the basic foundation that a child needs throughout his / her education and life. Spelling of a word is important because it aids in reading. Spelling instruction benefits a student’s reading abilities.
To help our children in becoming stronger readers as well as more proficient writers, an Inter House Word power Competition was held at DWPS, Pilkhuwa. The selection of participants was done through a preliminary written test. In Final round, four sections – Spell me Right, Jumbled Letters, Boggle your Mind and Rapid Fire rounds were conducted to test as well as enhance the vocabulary of the students. Congratulating the winners, Principal Mrs. Poonam Verma said, “English language has turned this world into a global village and therefore, we need to be well versed in this language in order to be successful in life.”

The students of Delhi World Public School, Pilkhuwa this year once again came up with flying colours and bagged the FIRST POSITION in Inter School Group Song Competition organised by Bharat Vikas Parishad at RKG Engineering College, Pilkhuwa on 20 August 2018.
The students spellbound all the audience present in the seminar hall with thier outstanding and mesmarising performance and ensured the first place among all the competing teams. The winners were awarded a winning trophy and the team was selected to perform at district level competition.

INDEPENDENCE DAY
The cloud laden skies on the morning of August 15, 2018 could do little to dampen the spirits of the dynamic youth at DWPSP. Exulting in the glory of Independent India, students, parents and staff poured in to celebrate their independence and revel in the pride of being an Indian.
The school corridors were brimming with enthusiasm and joy. As each one extended their joy on being part of this celebration, everyone on the campus was geared up and enthused for the momentous occasion. Mrs Poonam Verma , Principal of DWPSP hoisted the flag as each proud Indian witnessed it with their hearts swelled in pride. The tunes of the National Anthem reverberated in the air and the gathering saluted the National Flag and Mother India. This was followed by a grand function held in the auditorium. The program began with a beautiful flag song presented by the School Choir. As they sung “Meri jaan tiranga hai, abhiman tiranga hai”, each one present in the auditorium could feel the elated sense of their responsibilities towards their country.
The senior students also presented a Dance Drama on ‘Rani Laxmibai’ and put forth a thought provoking act which challenged the prejudiced views on independence. The students in their strong speech expressed that patriotism is not about short outbursts of emotion but the tranquil and steady dedication of a lifetime.
A mesmerizing dance performance enthralled the audience bringing a smile on every ones faces.
Principal Mrs Poonam Verma in her address shared with the students the values exhibited by our leaders. She spoke about how all great leaders of the world were achievers because of the set of ethics and values they had. She sensitized the students about the sacrifice made by soldiers on the frontiers who stand there guarding our motherland facing a bullet to ensure that we have a safe and peaceful sleep. The celebration was concluded by singing the National Song ‘Vande Matram’.

It is the time to groom and guide the leaders of tomorrow by giving an opportunity to lead and responsibilities to shoulder. The Investiture Ceremony of Delhi World Public School, Pilkhuwa for the academic session 2018 – 19 was held with great pomp and dignity in a special ceremony at school auditorium.
The Investiture ceremony signifies the reliance and confidence that the school consigns in the newly invested office bearers. Donning the mantle of accountability, they also pledge to bestow their duties to the best of their abilities. We believe that the child centric approach will frame a responsible citizen. The ceremony was held with lots of zeal and zest. The elected leaders were conferred with badges and sashes by Principal ma’am.
The Principal Mrs. Poonam Verma also appreciated and congratulated them. She advised them to be the role models and extended a supporting hand to the Students’ Council for smooth running of the school. The function / ceremony concluded with the National Anthem.
KAVITA GAYAN ( HINDI ) – PARYAVARAN DIWAS
Reading through books is not the only medium but fun filled activities and competition adds vigor and focused approach in the attitude of the students. To spread the fragrance of poetry and aware the children for the clean environment. DWPS, Pilkhuwa organized an Inter house competition – Hindi Kavita Gayan on Paryavaran Diwas. Children were dressed according to the theme and used different props which enhanced their performance. Students’ enthusiasm while reciting the poetry was the reflection of their zeal and confidence. Their performance was appreciated by one and all present.
